What is physical and mental Recovery? It’s the base that enables high performance

We work in the coaching of high performers. Recovery is one of the first principles.

How important is mental and physical recovery? Well, how many words do we have for it, that begin with R-E?

Recovery, rest, renew, regenerate, restore – the list goes on. Try it. And what I call Recovery here has more than one element and definition.

Recovery is a principle of training, not an adjunct to it. And that goes for the Business Athlete as well as the sportsperson. Our job is to enable your high performance and potential, while maintaining and increasing your wellbeing. We synergise them together. It won’t feel like that for you in every moment, but over a period of time we work with you so they work in the same direction and you get more of both. You become what we call a Business Athlete.Learning what is necessary for high performance in any particular field may at times be exhausting (and especially learning how to perform under pressure). We know that Recovery is a vital element.

We teach you when and how to do it, so you are able to ‘go again’ even better and stronger than ever after fatigue.’Recovery’ isn’t one thing; it morphs over a number of stages, and each stage needs to be done well. For example, what you should do immediately after the demand is over (individualised but eg protein, water, alone time, stretching, connect with loved ones, sleep) is different to what you should do after the main exhaustion is over, but before the next demand is upon us. eg. physically strengthen, slow carbohydrates, goodbye to loved ones, and exercised to eliciting non-cognitive intuition to support ideas). We help you create an integrated plan to increase your improvement rate over time, towards whatever is important or necessary for you, and if you wish, helping you to achieve at a level you never have before.

And then, with others, you can change the world!

Have fun and keep in touch.
